Our Squads

Our aim so to provide a Futsal offering to the whole community. Whilst we grow and develop our Futsal coaching army to allow us to do this we are focusing on the development of our academy and elite youth representative teams. This provides the most talented players in our academy programme with an exit route into the highest level of adult Futsal competition. It is hoped this strategy inspires more coaches to get involved with Futsal so that we can expand our offering.

In our academy programme we work with young players from the age of 4 right up to the age of 21. Those selected from our academy programme to play for our representative teams receive weekly training and regular competition that will preparethem to one day go on and play Futsal at the highest level.

All players in our representative squads work through the clubs curriculum and have their own personal development plans which are based on assessment. Training is designed around the individual AND the team.

We also work closely with the Football Association whose regional centres of excellence provide a route for players to progress onto the international stage. The objective of these FA centres is to work with the most exciting Futsal talent with a view to creating the international players of the future. We are fortunate to have an England coach as our club ambassador who scouts for the North West centre of excellence so there are real opportunities to progress from our academy set up.

Our representative teams regularly compete against other academy teams around the country with trips planned around Europe as well.

Selection for our representative teams is done via our regional scouting programme and by attending one of our development centres.  Attending our development centres as a young player is the best route to selection for our academy teams, it provides the opportunity to learn the game whilst working directly with our coaches.
