Then read this article about Al Tindall Chairman of Carlisle Futsal Cluband the steering group that he set up to aid his goals of developing a future professional Futsal club for his community in Carlisle.

Every club’s focus is different, some focus on development with an eye on the future others focus on imminent success achieved through recruiting the best players but neglect the importance of a sustainable future. Before you decide to enter any league and develop a club in your community, it is important to weigh up what exactly is important to you, should you focus on a long term development and do you have the temperament and consistency to see it through.

Carlisle Futsal Club compete in the FA National Futsal League North Division Two, they finished their first divisional season in third place. However, their work to develop the club started in August 2012. Al Tindall, the club chairman and owner, decided it was time to stop waiting for others to grow the sport of Futsal and embarked on a project to create a Carlisle team capable of competing at the highest level in English Futsal, the FA National Futsal League. Carlisle Futsal Club was born and officially incorporated on 30th September 2012.

Shortly after incorporation the club steering group was formed and held their first meeting on 19th December 2012. At this meeting a 3 year strategy was put in place that would ensure the clubs goal of achieving national league status would be met.
